COVID-19 Update

To ensure the Government guidelines are met and to enable us to keep staff, customers and contractors safe and help reduce the risk of transmission of the Covid 19 virus we have taken the following steps:

  • Face masks must be worn on entering the building and at all times when walking around the building.
  • Reduced the number of tables, in all seating areas and spaced them to ensure the social distancing measures are observed.
  • Reduced the hours of opening and provided a limited menu. Currently the Sunday Carvery is not available.
  • Each table is numbered and will have instructions on ‘how to order’ printed on them – Cutlery and condiments will be bought out with your order.
  • There is no area to sit or stand at the bar.
  • A one-way system is in operation, with floor markings to ensure separation.
  • Alcoholic hand sanitiser stations are available throughout the building and we ask that this is used as much as possible, especially when entering the building.
  • Toilet checks will be carried out more frequently to ensure contact points are sanitised and hand soap is readily available.
  • Bookings for tables will be taken, please call 01400 230552 or email info@woodysbar.co.uk – A host will be on hand to direct you to your table. Walk-ins may be possible.
  • Customers are encouraged to follow the current Government guidelines regarding seating arrangements with other households.
  • Customers who are accompanied by children are responsible for supervising them at all times and ensuring the guidelines and social distancing measures are adhered to at all times.
  • If possible please use contactless payment, although cash will be accepted.
  • It is the customers responsibility to ensure good hand hygiene and social distancing is practiced when moving around the bar / restaurant, outside areas and toilets
  • Anyone displaying symptoms (a persistent new cough, a temperature or loss of smell) will be asked to leave the venue and advised to follow the government guidelines on self isolation.
  • We will request the full name and contact number of each person using the facilities, to comply with the Government Track and Trace system. These details will be kept for a maximum of 21 days after which they will be destroyed.
  • With the exception of guide dogs and service dogs, dogs will not be allowed in the building.
  • A thorough clean of the building has taken place before reopening and each area will be thoroughly cleaned before opening each day.
  • Staff will be given extra training on the importance of sanitisation of contact points and will be cleaning these on a regular basis.
